GRAND CENTRAL TERMINAL

A poem in stone

How did a train station become one of the most visited sites in the world? The answer, of course, is that Grand Central Terminal is far, far more than a station. Like all of the world’s greatest landmarks – like the Pyramids, the Acropolis, Hampton Court, the Coliseum -- it’s a fin-de-siècle symbol, a snapshot of a country at the very pinnacle of its power. On this quest we will explore the terminal’s nooks and its crannies and set free its stories and secrets. We will taste its treats, meet its cast of characters and, by answering clues along the way, solve the final puzzle.
